MAHS-MDV-COL-003-O-0179

Document stating that Bodumanikufaanaa, the mother of Sultan Ibrāhīm Iskadhar II, her children and her grandmother, Kanbaa Mariyam Ranikile, purchased a residential land which belonged to the daughter of Dheyvaanee ‘Alī and endowed it to Aishaabee, the daughter of Fenfushi Hatheeb. It also dictates that surah Ya Sin of the Qur'ān should be recited during the annual commemoration (Faathihaa day) of her and her mother, and that the Faathihaafarikolhu should be recited every Friday eve. The custodianship of this endowment was given to Aishaabee's son, Dhon ‘Alī and his descendants. Translation of the document is transcribed from Dhives Akuru into Thaana by Ḥusayn Fahumy, and proofread by Bodufenvalhuge Seedheein in 1959.
