Idham Bachtiar Setiadi obtained his PhD at the Southeast Asian Studies Department of the National University of Singapore. His thesis understands the heritage of Candi Borobudur in the spacetime of purbakala. In his work particular timescapes are revealed to elaborate the notion that the being of a monument transforms substantially in the process of heritage.
