Haleemath Zakariyya explains that this mosque was built at the start of Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom’s Presidency, “This is Nafeesahtha’s own Mosque which was built on her land. She prays here but is not given to Government. The name of the owner is Nafeesaa Idhrees.“
