Tiago Queiroz

Digital Heritage Manager

 

Tiago Queiroz has worked in the fields of archaeology and cultural heritage since 1997. He brings to the MAHS Lab Team a wealth of experience gained working in commercial units as a geomatics manager and laser scanning specialist, as well as on academic archaeology projects in Egypt and Iraq.

His broad multidisciplinary background also includes study and working experience in the fields of architecture, acoustics and neuroscience, with a BSc in sound engineering as well as a MSc In Neuro-imaging. He has also run his own company and was awarded  the 2023 SME Managing Director of The Year Award for “Most Innovative Immersive Imagery” in the United Kingdom.

Tiago joined the MAHS Lab Team in October 2023 as Digital Heritage Manager. Here in Kyoto he works to develop workflows to optimize spatial data quality for archiving and interoperability across several 3D systems and platforms.

Outside of work, he is interested in martial arts and off road motorsports.
