Do Truong Giang (a.k.a. Alex Giang) is an historian whose work focuses on the history and archaeology of Champa, Vietnamese and Asian commercial ceramics, and Asian maritime commerce history. Alex has received training and taken part in numerous international initiatives on history, archaeology, and heritage in Singapore, the United States, Japan, Cambodia, and Vietnam. He is currently Head of the Scientific Management Department of the Institute of Imperial Citadel Studies (IICS), which is dedicated to the in-depth study of urban archeology and ancient capitals of Vietnam, including those of the Dai Viet, Champa, and Funan. He is responsible for establishing international collaboration initiatives between IICS and academic institutions and archaeological research centers worldwide.
