Paing Thet Phyo (Sai) serves as the Digital Heritage Content Officer at the Maritime Asia Heritage Survey (MAHS). He holds a Master of Science in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Asian Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Archaeology from the University of Yangon.
With a strong background in archaeological fieldworks and surveys since 2015, Paing Thet Phyo has contributed to archaeological projects such as the IRAW@Bagan Project organized by Trent University.
His commitment to digital archaeology is reflected in his field and technical experience and his passion for preserving Southeast Asia’s rich cultural heritage through cutting-edge technology. His current responsibilities include managing data workflows, ensuring adherence to project protocols, and providing technical assistance to field teams.
