Jędrzej M. Majewski completed a master’s degree in Environmental Archaeology at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń, Poland, and a PhD in Sea-level research at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

He is presently researching tsunamis and sea-level change in Southeast Asia using a combination of sedimentology, stratigraphy and biological proxies. At the Maritime Asia Heritage Survey, he is responsible for coordinating and troubleshooting fieldwork and overseeing documentation of archaeological sites.

He is interested in the wider context of human environment interactions. His previous projects include the study of past and present sea levels utilizing coral microatoll growth as a proxy of environmental change, as well as multiple archaeological projects from different periods on sites in both Europe and Asia.
