Learn traditional Maluku woodworking techniques with master carpenters who use local materials including sagu leaves roof thatch, complex rope work made with gamutu or ijuk (Arenga Pinnata) threads, and ‘Gaba-Gaba’ panels from the sago tree midribs and bambu pegs.
Learn from Kaitetu women who preserve original Maluku recipes from generation to generation. Cooking in a natural setting by the riverside, participants can also enjoy the results themselves, including Papeda Kuah Kuning, Sambal Blimbing Asam, Bakusona and Sinole pastries, and many more dishes!
